Stow Republican Club Picnic

Don't forget...the Stow Republican Club will be hosting a summer picnic on Thursday, August 22.  Meet us at 6:00 p.m. at the Heritage Barn at Silver Springs Park for fun, food and conversation! 

Our featured speaker will be Tom Zawistowski of the Portage County Tea Party.  He will be addressing the impact of large government on our personal liberties and the fallout of the recent IRS debacle on his group.

Our menu will include standard picnic favorites - hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, veggie trays, fruit salad, beverages and a great selection of desserts.

Don't miss this special opportunity to share ideas and information.  Local candidates are welcome to attend and bring their campaign literature.

Breakfast Meeting
Join us for breakfast on Saturday, June 8 at On Tap Restaurant in Stow at 8:30 a.m.  Our special guest speakers will be Summit County Councilman Bill Roemer.  Bill will be talking about how to run for an elected office.  We will also talk about who our local candidates are and how we can support their campaigns.  Also joining us will be Chris Long from the Ohio Christian Alliance.  It should be a very informative meeting.

4th of July Parade
The Club will again be participating in the Stow 4th of July Parade.  We will be promoting our local candidates.  We will need help setting up the float, manning the candy and walking in the parade...more discussion during our upcoming meeting.


Club Picnic
The Republican Club will be hosting our second annual summer picnic on August 22 at the Heritage Barn in Stow.  This event was very well attended last year.  More details to come as we approach the date.

Stow Republican Club Meeting...

The Club will be meeting on May 2 at 6:30 p.m. at On Tap Restaurant on Rt. 59.  Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be available, as well as a cash bar.

A volunteer from Buckeye Firearms Assoc. will be discussing firearms rights, the 2nd Amendment and current legislation efforts.  Also, Chief Dirker will be discussing Mayor Drew's income tax proposal for additional police presence in the schools.
